How TROCURI grades.

We scan the front and back of the card in even light. Our AI measures centering (how even the borders are), inspects the corners and edges for whitening or dings, and checks the surface for scratches, print lines, and dents. It combines those four factors into an estimated 1 to 10 grade and compares recent sold comps for the same card. We review and adjust before listing.

Grading is one step of TROCURI, our in-house Listing Tools pipeline: it also identifies each item, scrapes recent sold comps, recommends a fair price, and composes the listing before a person reviews it.

What it looks at.

Centering - how even the borders are, front and back
Corners - sharp versus soft, dinged, or frayed
Edges - clean versus chipping or whitening
Surface - scratches, print lines, dents, or gloss loss

The 1 to 10 card grade scale

10 Gem Mint - virtually flawless, razor-sharp
9 Mint - one tiny flaw at most
7 to 8 Near Mint to NM-Mint - minor wear on a close look
5 to 6 Excellent - light but visible wear
3 to 4 Very Good - rounded corners and surface wear
1 to 2 Poor to Good - heavy wear, creases, or damage

AI-assisted, human-confirmed.

Our grades are careful in-house estimates that help us set fair prices and give you clear expectations. They are not a replacement for professional third-party grading such as CGC, PSA, or PCGS. When an item has been professionally graded, the listing says so. If there is a flaw, it is in the photos and the description.
